Welcome to Year 3!
The first trip in Year 3 is to the Roald Dahl Museum. Here the children gain an insight into the editing process that we use throughout the school. It helps them to understand that even the most famous authors keep changing their work and making improvements until they are satisfied with their best effort. A great reinforcement of Growth Mindset!
We have further visits too. This year has taken us to Mop End for science, Cliveden for art and we invited History Off The Page into school for an immersive Ancient Egypt day.
The children begin to learn French in Year 3, which they really enjoy. They continue to learn new notes in recorder lessons, ready to perform at the Year 3 /4 Music Assembly. RE and PSHE lessons encourage the children to really think about more spiritual and moral issues, and how to develop themselves as they journey through life, both at St Pauls and in the wider community. Our PE and Games lessons help to keep them fit and healthy.
There is a lot to learn and enjoy in their first year in KS2!
