Welcome back to the final half-term of the year!
The children in Finches are looking forward to an exciting and busy few weeks ahead. We are hoping for lots of sunny weather as we prepare for Sports Day, our much-anticipated school trip and a very special visit from some Giant African Snails! Alongside all of these exciting events, the children will continue to work hard, challenge themselves and showcase all the fantastic progress they have made this year. It promises to be a fun-filled and memorable end to a wonderful year in Finches Class! ☀️🐌🏅📚
Warm wishes,

Spellings will be taught in school and practised at home.
Times tables Rock Stars (TTRS) should be used for 30 minutes as a minimum per week. Times Tables are a fundamental part of maths, and we would like to emphasise how important it is this is supported at home.
Equipment in school:
If you are able to supply a pencil case with basic equipment such as pencils, glue stick, colouring pencils etc, then that would be appreciated. We only require one small pencil case that will fit in the school drawer. Please bring in a book from home to read in class. Please ensure water bottles are in school every day.
CLASS GOVERNOR: Mrs Sue Palmer
My name is Sue and I am retired, following a career in local government where I worked various roles in finance, community development, regeneration, and leisure management.
I have volunteered as a governor to support the school in providing the best opportunity for all children to learn in a happy and nurturing environment.
I enjoy being active and participating in various sports, including swimming, cycling, and kayaking. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking, travelling, and solving maths puzzles.
My favourite drink is a nice latte.
