Vision and Values

School Vision

Our vision: Together we are: Growing in strength, Growing in wisdom and Growing in faith reflects our commitment to supporting one another in reaching our full potential, both individually and as a community. The strength and resilience we cultivate in our school community is rooted in the teachings of the Bible, particularly in Romans 5:3-4, which says:

"Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.“

This passage reminds us that challenges, though difficult, have a purpose: they shape our character, build endurance, and ultimately lead to hope. It’s a message that aligns perfectly with our emphasis on growth through adversity and the importance of nurturing resilience in both our children and staff.

School Values

Our School Values underpin and support the outworking of vision.  They encompass a range of principles and shared beliefs which are explored through collective worship, class activities, PSHE lessons and beyond.

These values are evident in these areas but not least in the way that all of us interact in school:

  • Respect

  • Community

  • Courage

  • Hope

  • Enjoyment

Spirituality

“Spirituality is not something we can see; it is something we feel inside ourselves. It is about awe and wonder, asking questions, inspiration and being aware of something ‘bigger’ outside of ourselves.”

Our provision for spiritual development of pupils includes their: ability to be reflective about their own beliefs (religious or otherwise) and perspective on life; knowledge of, and respect for, different people's faiths, feelings and values.
