Class information:
PE Days:
Monday afternoon and Thursday morning.
On these days, children should arrive at school in their PE kit. Please note that some PE lessons will take place outside, so as the weather gets colder, please make sure they have a navy-blue tracksuit to keep them warm. Year 4 will begin their swimming sessions in the Spring term on a Thursday morning. From Thursday 15th January 2026, please send the children into school with their P.E. kits on and a named swimming bag with their swimming kit inside.
Home Learning:
Children in Year 4 are expected to read daily at home and record in reading Record Book. Please ensure the reading book and record book are in school every day.
Spellings will be taught in school and practised at home.
Times tables Rock Stars (TTRS) should be used for 30 minutes as a minimum per week. Times Tables are a fundamental part of maths, and we would like to emphasise how important it is this is supported at home.
Equipment in school:
If you are able to supply a pencil case with basic equipment such as pencils, glue stick, colouring pencils etc, then that would be appreciated. We only require one small pencil case that will fit in the school drawer. Please bring in a book from home to read in class. Please ensure water bottles are in school every day.
