Please read the information below which gives details of our Pupil Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.
Pupil Premium is a financial grant based on the number of pupils who have ever been eligible for Free School Meals (FSM). Parents can register for FSM by completing the form below and producing the evidence required.
The aim of Pupil Premium is to support pupils who are eligible in their educational attainment. The Government believes that the Pupil Premium is the best way to address the current underlying inequalities between pupils who are eligible and those who are not by ensuring that funding reaches those pupils who need it most. This funding varies from year to year as the number of pupils eligible varies.
How is Pupil Premium Funding used at St Paul’s?
The amount of money received at St Paul's is relatively small and requires sensitive targeting. To prevent identification of pupils, specific information about the initiatives is held within school.
Assessments are made of pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium in order to offer the correct additional provision that they each require. The strategies put in place to support the pupils vary from day to day work in the classroom, to small group work, to individual one-on-one tuition.
In the year 2019-2020 the Pupil Premium funding received was: £10,158
