A warm welcome to Year 3
In Year 3, we give our students greater opportunities to become more independent, supporting and encouraging them to take greater control of their school day and develop their organisation skills as they begin their learning journey at the start of Key Stage 2. There is a change from the continuous provision style of learning that they have followed in Key Stage 1. More structure is now followed, but with time spent both on the carpet and at tables to help the transition between Key Stages.
In Year 3 the students will begin to study French, which they really enjoy. RE and PSHE lessons encourage the children to begin to think deeper about spiritual and moral issues and how to develop themselves as they journey through life, both at St Paul's and in the wider community. Our PE and Games lessons contribute to and promote a healthy lifestyle.
There is a lot to learn and enjoy in their first year in KS2!
