St. Paul's school believes that Art is an essential practical, creative and imaginative facet of the curriculum.​ Children are encouraged  and supported  to flourish through their artistic achievements, always aiming high. ​

Our Christian values underpin all aspects of our teaching and learning.

The school values are embedded into every Art lesson.

Children will be given the opportunities to develops their:

 

-ability to use media and materials

-understanding of the visual elements of art and design (line, tone, texture, colour, pattern, shape, 3D form)

-ability to represent the world around them and express feelings and ideas

-knowledge and interest in artists work from a variety of cultures and social backgrounds and how art shapes and reflects history

- confidence, self esteem and general mental health through art activities.
