Meet The Governors

 

Edward Arnold - Co-Chair - Foundation/Diocesan Governor

I've been a Governor since July 2021 and am currently Co-Chair of Governors and Chair of the Learning and Standards Committee. I have two children at St Paul's, Issy in Year 5 and Miri in Year 1. I'm an employment lawyer by trade, working with employers on all kinds of employment and HR related issues.

 

Laura Willis - Co-Chair - LA Governor

Having served as Parent Governor for 3 years, I now look forward to continuing to be part of the Governing Body as the Governor appointed by the Local Authority.  I have been part of the school community since child number 1 started at the Nursery in 2011; child number 3 is now in Year 6.

 

John Walton - Vice Chair - Foundation/PCC Governor 

I’m Vice Chair of Governors and Chair of the Finance, Premises, Health & Safety Committee as well as parent to Laura and Jack. Outside of school, I’m a Chartered Accountant working in financial services, specialising in risk management and corporate governance.

 

Charlotte Dennis - Headteacher - Staff Governor

I have recently joined St Paul's as their headteacher and have absolutely loved becoming part of their family.

As headteacher, I sit on all the committee's and am looking forward to the next part of St Paul's journey.  

 

 

Rebecca Jones - Deputy Headteacher - Staff Governor 

I have been a staff governor at St Paul's for 4 years. I am on the Learning and Standards Committee, Finance, Premises, Health & Safety Committee, Emergency Response Committee and Admissions Committee. 

 

 

Karie Wingrove - Teacher - Co-Opted Staff Governor

I have been teaching at St Paul's since September 2021 and I recently joined as a co-opted staff governor. I am thankful for the opportunity to be part of the strategic development of our school. I am on the Learning and Standards Committee. 

 

Chris Barson-Cain - Parent Governor

I'm Chris Barson-Cain, one of the two Parent Governors. Two of our children are at St Paul's, our eldest left for Secondary School just over a year ago. I've been a Governor for two years and I'm currently the Development Governor; along with the Co-Chairs we make sure that as a group, we have opportunities to learn and gain skills which support the staff and school community. With a work background in Broadcasting and IT, I sit on a range of committees, including Finance, Learning and Pay Review. 

 

Charlotte Zittel - Parent Governor

I'm Charlotte Zittel, and I joined as a Parent Governor in December 2023. I have three children currently attending St Paul's. My professional background is in strategic planning in higher education, specialising in risk management. I am a member of the Finance, Premises, Health & Safety Committee and the Emergency Response Committee. 

 

Paul Cudby - Ex-Officio Governor

I'm Paul Cudby, vicar of St. Paul's with St. Mary's since February 2021.  I'm in school regularly both as a Governor and leading Collective Worship, often with the Open the Book team which explores Bible stories through acting.  I have a background in science and music.

 

Melanie Havelock - Foundation/PCC Governor

I am the SEND Governor and I'm fairly new,  having only started in the summer of 2023. I am really enjoying being part of such a friendly and committed team.  I have two children at St Paul’s: Abby in Year 2 and Alex in Year 4, as well as my son James who has recently gone to secondary school. I am Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion at a primary school in Maidenhead.

 

Karen Larkin - Foundation/PCC Governor

I'm Karen Larkin, Foundation Governor appointed by St Paul's Church PCC. I've had nearly 40 years connection with the school, with my own 4 children attending as well as 30 years of childminding  many children here.  I'm currently on the  Learning and Standards, and Admissions Committees.

 

 

 

Sophia Harrison - Foundation/PCC Governor

I’m Sophia Harrison, a Foundation Governor appointed by St Paul’s Church PCC in January 2024. I am on the Finance, Planning and Health & Safety Committee and the Admissions Committee. I have two children in primary school and have a keen interest in ensuring schools are well-equipped to support all children in achieving their potential. My professional background is in pensions and I am a professional trustee, sitting on the boards of pension schemes, ensuring they are well governed.
