  • Remembrance Service - November 2022

    Tue 07 Feb 2023

Year 5 led our Remembrance Service in school which included a poignant song marking the school community’s respects eloquently. The children really took ownership of the theme and had worked hard researching historical information so they could relay a deep understanding of the day. The two-minutes’ silence was observed across the school. The Headteacher, Chair and Vice-Chair of Governors represented the school attending the service at the Wooburn Green Memorial led by Rev Paul Cudby.

The Year 5 class were a credit to the school community, demonstrating the School Value ‘Respect’ with honour.

Our football teams have been busy already this season. After an impressive win in their first game, the girls’ team reached the District Finals at Disraeli School on Saturday 15th October. Playing teams from all over the High Wycombe district, they competed with determination and huge smiles!

The following week, the team got revenge on Disraeli School who beat them, winning a cup match at home 1-0 and putting them through to the next round against Carrington Junior School. Good luck girls!

The boys have more fixtures to come too!

     iSingPOP Triumph!

The children thoroughly enjoyed learning a new set of songs from iSingPOP with the welcome return of Sandy!

It was a joy to see the church packed to the rafters for both concerts. The feedback received was lovely and reflected the uplifting impact of being together to sing songs based on shared values. As a joint venture with St Paul’s Church, the songs will continue to be sung both at school and in church.
