St Paul’s Nursery is situated in a self-contained building close to the main school. It has a wide range of facilities both inside and out including a large nursery garden. The outside area benefits from adventure playground apparatus, a trim trail, mud kitchen, storytelling chair and reading, sand and water and building sheds.
The aims of the nursery are to ensure:
•Your child is safe and happy!
•Your child makes a gentle transition from home to nursery.
•We work in partnership with you to create the best learning environment for your child.
•We encourage home learning by sending home activities relating to nursery topics which could be completed at home - children have home learning journeys with their targets in for them to work on each half term.
•We provide a broad and balanced curriculum through the ‘Early Years Foundations Stage Curriculum’ - the learning environment includes provision both indoors and out.
•Children are encouraged to learn through play and first hand experience - learning is fun!
•Learning is tailored to the individual through close observation and monitoring by all the staff - topics and activities are planned around the interest and needs of each child.
