Year 6

Welcome to Year 6!

Meet the team:

Mrs Lenton & Mrs Steed (Class teachers)

Mrs Bourn, Mrs Green, Mrs Nagle, Mrs McCarthy (LSA)

In their final year at St Paul’s, our Year 6 pupils develop into students we can proudly send to their next level of learning. The curriculum is enriched by class trips, a residential, a Mini-Enterprise challenge and the legendary Summer production.

The children develop their sense of responsibility throughout the year, taking on a variety of duties to help the school run smoothly, including Class Monitors, standing for House Captains, playing an important part in the School Council and running clubs for the younger children.

By the time Y6 have led their Leaver’s Service, they are prepared and ready as learners and young people to move onto their new schools.

Cuffley Residential 2024

Day 1

We have arrived safely and are enjoying a great day here at Cuffley. The children love the pods and the woodland setting. They have all taken part in climbing and some problem solving activities such as Spider’s Web and Floor is Lava.  Everyone is having the best time. Currently, we are enjoying some free time before dinner, a campfire tonight and s’mores. We will hopefully have a good nights sleep after a hot, tiring but fun day.

Day 2

Another great day at Cuffley. We have been up high again on The Postman’s Walk, shot each other in Tag Archery, orienteered our feet off and ended the day with some mad games and got very wet!

Day 3

On our final day, all groups had their final experiences up high, orienteering and shooting each other with arrows. The whole trip ended with buggy making - a real test of tying knots, sturdy building and teamwork.
