Our Day of Reflection 23rd March 2021

St Paul’s marked the National Day of Reflection on 23rd March with respect for those who have suffered and hope for a brighter future.

Reception had a Circle Time to discuss the reason for the day and made a spring flowers display.

Year 1 read and discussed “While We Can't Hug” by Eion Mclaughlin.

Year 2 made a daffodil window display.

Year 3 looked at some flower art by artists like Georgia O’ Keefe.

Year 4 planted seeds as a symbol of hope.

Year 5 watched 'The Great Realisation' by Tomos Roberts and made a paper Garden of Reflection and Hope with daffodils (representing hope) and forget me nots (representing those lost). The children wrote what they hoped for/messages to those who lost someone inside the flowers.

Year 6 made papercraft daffodils.
